Untie Rope
Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
In short:
- No account, no sign-in. We never ask for your name, email or contacts.
- Your progress and coins are kept on your device.
- We collect gameplay and performance data to improve the game.
- The game shows optional video ads through Google AdMob, which you choose to watch for a reward. Ads are personalised only if you allow it.
- Coin packs are sold through the App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google handle payments; we never see your payment details.
- If you write to us through Help & Support in the game, we receive your messages along with some game and device details, so we can help.
This policy explains what information the Untie Rope game (“the game”) uses, why, and the choices you have. The game is made by Axinode Apps S.L., a company registered in Spain (“we”, “us”), which is responsible for (the controller of) the information described here.
Information stored on your device
The game keeps your level progress, stars, coins, best scores and settings (music, sounds, haptics) on your device. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. Deleting the game deletes it.
Analytics we collect
We use GameAnalytics to understand how the game is played and how well it runs, so we can fix problems and make levels fairer. It receives:
- Gameplay events: levels started, completed or failed, moves and stars, coins earned and spent, use of undo, cuts and other game features.
- Performance and stability: frame rate, memory use, loading time and error reports.
- Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language and approximate country.
- Session information: when and how long you play.
- Purchase records: which item was bought and its price and currency (never your payment details).
These events are linked to a random identifier created for this app on your device (and, on iPhone and iPad, Apple's identifier for vendor). They are not linked to your name, email or Apple or Google account. GameAnalytics may also receive your device's advertising identifier to measure ads: on iPhone and iPad only if you allow tracking (IDFA, see Advertising below); on Android, the Android advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your device settings. GameAnalytics processes the data on our behalf; see the GameAnalytics privacy policy.
In-app purchases
Coin packs are sold through Apple's App Store and Google Play. Apple or Google processes the payment under its own privacy policy (Apple, Google). We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made (with the pack, price and currency), so the game can add the coins. Settings → Restore Purchases asks the App Store or Google Play for coin packs bought earlier with your Apple or Google account that never reached the game.
Help & Support chat
You can contact us from the game: Settings → Help & Support opens a chat, and our replies appear there. The chat is run with PostHog (PostHog, Inc., United States), which stores the conversation on our behalf. Only if you send a message, PostHog receives:
- the messages you write and our replies;
- a random support identifier created on your device, so your replies reach you (it is not linked to your name, email or Apple or Google account);
- app and device details: app version, device model, operating system version and language;
- the state of your game when you write: current level, levels solved, coins, moves, settings, and a short list of your most recent game actions, so we can understand the problem without asking;
- your IP address, as with any internet connection.
Please don't share personal details in the chat that we don't need to help you. While a conversation is open, the game checks PostHog for new replies. We keep conversations for as long as we need them to help you and for up to 12 months after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. See the PostHog privacy policy.
Advertising
The game offers rewarded video ads. You choose to watch one for a reward, such as extra moves, extra coins, a scissors cut or opening a padlock. You never have to watch one: the game can always be played with coins instead. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which selects an ad from Google and its advertising partners. To show ads, count views, pay rewards and prevent fraud, Google receives:
- device and advertising identifiers: your device's advertising identifier (on iPhone and iPad the IDFA, only if you allow tracking; on Android the Android advertising ID) and app-specific identifiers;
- device and app information: device model, operating system, app version, language, IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
- ad interactions: which ads were shown, watched or tapped, and diagnostic data about ad performance.
Your choices:
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks before the first ad whether ads may be personalised and how your data may be used. You can change your answer any time in the game: Settings → Privacy Choices.
- On iPhone and iPad, the game asks for your permission through Apple's tracking prompt (App Tracking Transparency). If you choose Ask App Not to Track, your advertising identifier is not shared and ads are not based on your activity in other companies' apps and websites. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads).
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; see also how Google uses information from apps that use its services. We do not give advertisers your name, email or contacts, because we don't have them.
Why we use this information
- To run the game and deliver what you buy.
- To find and fix crashes, slow performance and levels that are too hard or too easy.
- To understand which features people use, so we can improve the game.
- To show ads, which help keep the game free, and to give you the rewards you watch them for.
- To answer you when you contact us through Help & Support.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving the game, on performance of a contract for purchases, rewards and the support you ask for, and on your consent for personalised ads. Some of our providers (GameAnalytics, PostHog, Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept only as long as it is useful for these purposes, and no longer than GameAnalytics' retention period. Data on your device stays until you delete the game.
Your choices and rights
- Deleting the game removes the data on your device and resets its random identifier, so new analytics events cannot be linked to the old ones.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to its use. Write to us through Help & Support in the game, or email hello@axinodeapps.com. Because we do not know who you are, we may ask for details that help us find your data.
- You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In Spain, that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
We do not sell your personal information for money. If you allow tracking, the data ad partners receive to personalise ads may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. You can opt out by not allowing tracking on iPhone and iPad (or turning it off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking), by deleting your advertising ID on Android, through Settings → Privacy Choices in the game, or by emailing us.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them or show them personalised ads. If you believe a child has used the game and data about them was collected, contact us and we will delete what we can.
Security
Data sent to GameAnalytics, PostHog and our ad partners travels over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transfer is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game changes. We will change the date above, and for important changes we will let you know in the game or on this page.
